Mining for Trash: the New Gold?

Tuesday, November 9, 2021 @ 10:30 am 11:30 am

Let us get down and dirty…and money. We’re talking trash as the new Gold! Joseph Horn of the EcoPlex.US will have a fireside chat with Miguel Hogarth Bedoya, who is an international symphonic conductor and former director of the Ft. Worth Symphony. After seeing mountains of cups and wastes at the end of each performance in Bass Hall, Miguel knew he had to act. He founded Cowboy Compost. Learn about the challenges faced in encouraging transformation and his remarkable successes. Miguel likes to state that trash is the common bond in humanity. We all eat, sleep, procreate, and make trash…. Learn how his entrepreneurial efforts are beginning to transform the global arts community… and helping us to viewing trash as a resource that we can monetize and be better stewards of our planet’s resources.
