Not Your Grandparents’ Farm: Global Innovations in Agriculture

Friday, November 12, 2021 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am

Join Vlad Konovalchuk as he talks about his company BRIDGES, a Ukrainian firm that specializes in international agriculture. Specifically BRIDGES organizes study tours for large-scale Ukraine farmers to the US and other countries. They also bring international agricultural subject matter experts to Ukraine to share knowledge and practices. A major aspect of all of these exchanges is the cultural factor: farmers all over the world share a very similar mindset and mentality regardless of where they farm and this makes for a great mix of people and ideas.

BRIDGES was founded in 2008 to promote the development of agricultural businesses in Ukraine. It specializes in the introduction and application of advanced state of the art American technologies in production of agricultural products and practices, conducting trainings and educational programs for companies focusing on agronomy that include modern tillage and precision agriculture practices, more efficient input application, soil fertility, climate smart agriculture and many other areas.

Over the last 12 years BRIDGES has organized more than 1000 trainings for agricultural producers and processors and completed numerous consulting assignments throughout Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia in all areas of agricultural business utilizing senior level consultants from the US and Ukraine.
