What do Race Cars and Star Wars have in common?

Thursday, November 11, 2021 @ 1:30 pm 2:30 pm

The answer is in this segment is Samantha Garbarino, who is an expert in sustainable architecture and also a fan of Formula 1 Racing! She will discuss how many innovative technologies emerge from this enduring, racing competition to fuel safety and sustainability in our society. An international architect who also worked on the design of the USC School of Cinematic Art, Samantha will share some of her experiences working for another innovator, George Lucas of Star Wars fame. Some of that work included the design of a museum and for his ranches – Big Rock and Sky Walker. What knowledge can we incorporate from race cars and movie moguls can we incorporate into our ordinary lives? More importantly, how can we use these techniques to innovate how we work, and play to increase ROI and to benefit the planet.
