It’s a great time to be an
entrepreneur in Arlington!
If you are not in the “know”, recently University of Texas at Arlington was designated a Tier 1 Research University, only the fourth in the state of Texas to be awarded this designation. This will translate into more innovation and technology commercialization coming out of the institution, thus creating a zone of entrepreneurship around those innovations and emerging companies.
The old convention center was converted into a huge e-sports stadium and gaming center. This helps establish Arlington as a hub for gaming and all the entrepreneurship that comes with that. The industry is exploding and creating all types of opportunities for not only players, but those that support players and those that drive the technology and marketing.
It is perfect timing for Arlington to develop regular occurring events like GEW to help maintain this momentum. We are happy to welcome them to the family of GEW supporters. We are proud to offer our platform for them to jump start their programming and to becoming one of our partners in North Texas.
